1. Introduction

Welcome to Rome Startup Week (“Event”). By purchasing tickets and participating in the Event, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

2. Acceptance of Terms

Please review these Terms carefully before using the Site and Services. By using any of the Site and Services, you accept these Terms.

3. Tickets

  • Purchase: Tickets can be purchased through our official website romestartupweek.com. Tickets are managed by Brella (brella.io).
  • Payments: All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
  • Refunds: Tickets are non-refundable, except in the case of Event cancellation.
  • Transfer: Tickets are transferable. Notify the organizers at least 48 hours before the Event.

4. Program

  • Changes: The Event schedule is subject to change without notice.
  • Participation: Attendees must follow the instructions of the Event staff and respect the venue rules.

5. Privacy and Cookies

  • Data Collection: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data on website usage. Personal data provided during ticket purchase will be used only for Event-related communications.
  • Cookies: By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Data Sharing: By purchasing a ticket, you agree that your data may be shared with our Event sponsors for marketing and promotional purposes.

6. Parties Authorized to Process Images

By participating in the event, you consent to the use and dissemination of pictures and images taken during the event for promotional purposes (e.g., websites, brochures, reports, and promotional materials for future editions).

Personal Data may be disclosed by the Data Controller, in addition to competent authorities where required or mandated by law, to the following categories of recipients, exclusively for the purposes previously indicated:
Event partner companies, specifically: Eni; ROAD – Rome Advanced District; AGI S.P.A.; Orange Branded; Future4 Communications; The Growth Kitchen; and other sponsors and partners of the event.

7. Force Majeure

  • Unforeseen Events: The organizers are not responsible for any failure to perform due to unforeseen circumstances or causes beyond their control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, government actions, or natural disasters.
  • Cancellation: In case of Event cancellation due to force majeure, efforts will be made to reschedule. Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

8. Code of Conduct

  • Behavior: Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Attendees must behave respectfully towards other participants, speakers, and staff.
  • Consequences: Violations may result in expulsion from the Event without a refund.

9. Liability

  • Disclaimer: The organizers are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the Event.
  • Indemnity: Attendees agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Event organizers against any claims arising from participation in the Event.

10. Changes to Terms

  • Modifications: We may occasionally change these Terms, so we encourage you to review the Terms periodically. The most current version of the Terms (along with their effective date) will be linked from each of the Site and Services. If you continue to use the Site and Services after we change the Terms, you accept all changes.

11. Privacy Policy; Additional Terms

  • Privacy Policy: Our Privacy Policy describes our practices concerning data that you provide or that we may collect about you through the Site and Services, and you consent to our use of data in compliance with the Privacy Policy.
  • Additional Terms: Additional terms may apply to your use of the Site and Services. We will provide these terms to you or post them on the Site and Services to which they apply; they are incorporated by reference into these Terms. If there is a conflict between these Terms and any additional terms that apply to a particular Service, the additional terms will control.

12. Registration and Access Controls

  • Confidentiality: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login names and passwords and you accept responsibility for all activities, charges, and damages that occur under your account.
  • Accurate Information: If we request registration information from you, you must provide us with accurate and complete information and must update the information when it changes.
